OMMA Recognized PointRoll Clients IAC Advertising Solutions, Armchair Media/Turf Media and Team Detroit for their Innovative Work with Premier Brands including College Board, Ford and Bacardi

Prestigious OMMA Awards for online advertising creativity were earned in three categories: Standard/Flash or Rich Media Banner, Rich Media Campaign, and Use of Widgets. The winners were announced in New York City at the OMMA Global Conference and Expo on September 18th.
The College Board's innovative "Meet Me in the Future" microsite, a joint project of Armchair Media and TURF, was recognized with an OMMA Award in the Rich Media Campaign category. The site was conceived and designed to help change students' perceptions of the SAT, allowing them to associate the brand with their own ideas of achievement. By enabling students to fill in "bubbles" with their personal aspirations and then see their entries in the context of similar responses, the site attracted more than 200,000 bubble submissions and close to 400,000 page views within the site's three-and-a-half-month lifespan. Armchair's understanding of the target audience, including online habits and preferences, combined with TURF's creativity and out-of-the-box thinking and PointRoll's effective banner ad campaign strategy, translated into a fun, engaging and interactive site for students. The microsite has inspired thousands of students to pursue their dreams, while recognizing the SAT as one of many tools to achieve their goals.
Team Detroit received an OMMA Award for Use of Widgets in a Ford campaign. The campaign was targeting 16-25 year old video gamers with a widget promoting SYNC, a communication and entertainment voice-activated technology, powered by Microsoft and available in the new Ford Flex. PointRoll received the call from long-time client Team Detroit on behalf of Ford to incorporate images by Jamie Hewlett, the comic book artist and designer, to create a widget experience to articulate gaming culture. The widget featured games like Phantom Fury, Hyper Bunny, Ghost Hero and Space Jumper to provide interactive entertainment which was engaging to the target audience. Ford envisioned fun games that were easy to share, creating a link between the user and the Ford brand, a premise that PointRoll was able to deliver.
In the Standard, Flash or Rich Media Banner category, IAC Advertising Solutions received an OMMA Award for its groundbreaking geography based work on the "Bacardi Mojito" campaign. IAC Advertising Solutions and PointRoll continue their long standing partnership in order to serve high calibre brands like Bacardi. IAC called on PointRoll to create an engaging ad allowing users to locate "Mojito Bars" in their area using CitySearch.com as well as inviting friends to join via Evite.com, all from within the interactive ad. The overall goal of the campaign was to build brand awareness while at the same time engaging the viewer in a dynamic online environment. PointRoll coordinated all of the metrics for the ad so that Bacardi was best able to serve the growing needs of their Mojito fans throughout the United States. The rich media ads were served on the IAC Advertising Network which has a reach of roughly 57,000,000 unique visitors per month.
